If you'd like to be informed when there is a show, or a reminder just prior to a show, event, gig, heist, or other sundry gathering, please fill out the form below to be placed on the mailing list for what I'm laughingly calling a newsletter, but will really just be a hastily written email reminding y'all of something that I think is important.  Still... sign up for it.
Yay, junkmail!
Information, bitches!
Be sure to stop in here and check on our gigs, more of which are surely coming.

In a move out of the file marked "that's about what I expected", it seems The Ernst Project (as it was) has died. Three years ago now, I conceived this project as an engine for me to record an album. A polished, studio perfect album. Which is exactly what we failed to do. What was supposed to be a workshop turned into a band, and what was supposed to be a polished studio album turned out to be a really good, but still not perfect live album. And I'm SUPER proud of Are You Now or Have You Ever Been? but it was never what I had set out to do. And now with band members departing for personal, professional, and geographical reasons, it's basically down to me and Andy. And that does not a band make.

So now, it's back to the drawing board. This time, I'm going it alone. I'm re-designating the name The Ernst Project to my solo gig, which is: A new album!

Plans are now in the works for my solo album. Just me, a couple of guitars, a box of harmonicas, and maybe a few other odds and ends. But a simple, small, beautifully depressing album.

In the meantime, I'm still actively looking for members to form a new band, which (if I have my way) will be called either The Scut Farcus Affair or Dorothy Mantooth Is A Saint.

If I'm going to start pushing the boulder back up the hill... I'm gonna need some coffee.

New Beginnings
You can catch The Almighty Ernst every Thursday evening from 7 to 9pm at The Happy Cappuccino on Jay St. in Schenectady, where I host the Open Mic.

It's a good time with good music and good coffee.

Hey... it's more fun than a kick in the balls.
